The Gorgonia works-on-paper date from around 1997 and are an ongoing series. A group of two dozen of these sheets, spanning the period 2000 to 2006, was exhibited at the Monash University Museum of Art in the show Before the Body - Matter (2006/7- group). Seven of these works that were purchased by MUMA were subsequently included in Monash University Collection: A selection of recent acquisitions (2007/8).
Other shows devoted to the Gorgonia works were: Gorgonia, Studio 12, Gertrude Contemporary Art Spaces (2003 - solo), After the deluge, corrections, Temple Studios (1999 - solo) and Capurro, Ellis, Hutchison and Parsons, First Floor Artists and Writers Space (2002 - group). This year a number of them were seen at Finekost, Berlin, in More Love Hours Than Can Ever Be Repaid (2009 - group) and another group will be shown in Leave No Trace: Ridges, Troughs and Phantom Limbs at the International Studio and Curatorial Program gallery, New York (2009 - group).
These works are correction fluid on magazine pages, with erasure, and pins. Like the Compress works, they are presented unadorned, pinned to the wall.
